All About Henna...

What is Henna?

Henna is a plant based dye comes from the Henna Tree or it is also called Lawsonia intermis. Henna is been around for about 5000 years. Besides decorating on skin it has been used to dye hair, to make medicines, to dye wool in some countries and many more areas.

How to prepare for your Henna Appointments?

Henna is a semi permanent dye. It lasts about 2-3 weeks on your skin. Prepping your skin is very important. 

Please before application always wash your hands with soap. Any lotion or oil based products may act as a barrier to dye your skin.

If you have any nail appointments or tanning appointments please do them 48 hours prior to your Henna appointment.

How to care your Henna after appointment?

  • Leave your Henna designs as long as you can (8-12 hours is ideal)

​

  • After your paste dry use lemon juice and sugar sealant to prevent it from flaking it early

​

  • Please do not wash your hands, instead scrape it of with dry or oil soaked paper towel

​

  • You can also put oil (olive oil, coconut oil, vegetable oil or baby oil is ideal) on dry henna to take off your henna easily

​

  • You can wash or shower 8-12 hours after paste removal

​

  • Your henna stain will start as a bright pumpkin stain but gradually in 36-48 hours it will reach its peak stain point.

Service Areas & Rates

We are currently providing Henna services in Richmond VA areas. We also travel to Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Southern Virginia and some part of Maryland. 

​

Private in studio appointments are minimum of 15 minutes session.

​

Parties or events required two hours minimum of service plus travel. 

Richmond and surrounding areas travel will be $10-$15 and rest of areas will be based on gas mileage. Per milage it will cost about $0.95.

​

Hourly Rate is - $135.00

​

Bridal: Starts at $200 ( Very Basic) and may go up to $600 (Royal Delight)
